Accessing DMaF Lab
General access information
The DMaF Lab is design and built-environment focused prototyping lab and makerspace in the Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning.
To access DMaF you need to complete Inductions for the space or equipment you want to use. Inductions are online or in-person practical classes that teach you how to work safely in the lab.
To access DMaF you must be a currently enrolled student of the School of Architecture, Design and Planning.
Getting started
Visit the DMaF Lab Hub on Canvas to see what inductions and resources are available.
Complete the Online Site Induction on the DMaF Hub.
This must be completed each semester to verify your access and is a condition of use of the lab.Register for Inductions and attend them to learn how to work safely in DMaF.
Inductions generally run only in the early weeks of semester.Visit the lab during our opening hours.
You can use the lab to work on your coursework as well as get fabrication and making advice from our technical staff.

SydPay
To pay for any materials or certain services in the lab students must use SydPay.
Visit the SydPay link to load funds onto your Student card.
DMaF Lab Hub Enrolment
Students of ADP will automatically be enrolled in the DMaF Hub, check your Canvas dashboard for the course. If it does not appear then email us.
